This is a picture of me, Gene Young. I am 83 years old and have painted all of my adult life. It is sort of a passion of mine, and I inherited some of my talent from Great Great Grandparents who were art teachers in England in the 1800s. The art gene has continued down through time which would include Aunts, cousins, and now my own children and grandchildren.

I took the Famous Artist's course in the 1950s and went to night classes at the Kansas City Art Institute.
